Golden Shore Medical Group (formerly Molina Medical Group) is owned and operated by J. Mario Molina, M.D. Dr. Molina continues his father’s legacy. Dr. C. David Molina founded the clinics in 1980 to care for underserved patients California. We are committed to providing access to high quality care through our 17 staff model clinics located in medically underserved areas in Los Angeles, Riverside, Sacramento and San Bernardino counties. In addition, we contract with additional primary care physicians to supplement our staff model clinic network. We currently serve about 120,000 capitated patients insured through Medi-Cal, Medicare and Covered California.
Scope of Services: Golden Shore Medical Group provides comprehensive primary care services in all 17 of our staff model clinics using EPIC as our electronic health record system. Our physicians are trained in family medicine, pediatrics and internal medicine, and they are assisted by nurse practioners and physician assistants. In addition, we provide in-house behavioral health and pain management services. Our clinicians supplement our clinics with limited telemedicine capabilities.
We have contracts with specialist in the communities we serve to better assist us in meeting the needs of our patients.
In 2017, all seventeen of our staff model clinics were accredited by NCQA as Patient-Centered Medical Homes and we have a reputation for providing linguistically and culturally competent care to our patients.
Golden Shore Medical Group is supported in its mission by Network Medical Management (NMM) which is a full-service MSO that was formed in 1994. NMM provides us with comprehensive administrative support through its health care professional and financial experts, whose industry expertise enables us to focus on achieving our goals.
Golden Shore Medical is registered as a risk-bearing organization with the California Department of Managed Care. Also, Golden Shore Medical has been a Traditional and Safety Net Provider in the communities we serve since 1980.
